Our own factory in Nanjing, finished in Hong Kong, since 2008

Deal toys that survive the handover.

We own the factory. Our plant in Nanjing casts the lucite and cuts the crystal, and every piece is finished and checked by our Hong Kong team before it ships. Design and samples come first, so you approve the real object rather than a picture. Over US$1 million of deal toys a year for clients including HSBC, UBS, Morgan Stanley and Bank of China. No catalogue minimums, and nobody in the middle marking it up.

Questions we are asked

Deal toys, answered

Written for the person pricing a closing gift for the first time.

What is a deal toy?

A deal toy, also called a financial tombstone or a lucite embedment, is a commemorative object given to the people who closed a transaction. It is usually cast in optically clear lucite with the deal's printed announcement, logos and value embedded inside, and it is kept on a desk for years, which is why the finish matters more than the price.

How long does a deal toy take to make?

Seven to ten working days from approved artwork for a standard lucite or crystal piece. Complex embedments with objects inside, or fully custom outlines, take longer, and we say so at quoting rather than at delivery.

What is the minimum order for deal toys?

There is no catalogue minimum. A single VIP piece is as welcome as a run of two hundred for a full syndicate, because the tooling and the pour happen at our own factory rather than at a supplier who sets one.

What does a deal toy cost?

Price is quoted per project, not from a list. The drivers are the material, the finished size, the thickness of the lucite, how many colours are printed, whether objects are embedded, and quantity. Send the artwork and the quantity and a full quotation comes back including engraving.

Do you ship deal toys worldwide?

Yes. Pieces are packed individually, cartoned for export and the customs paperwork is prepared by our Hong Kong office. Deliveries go to closing dinners and offices in Europe, North America, the Middle East and across Asia.

Can you embed an object inside the lucite?

Yes. Printed announcements, ribbon, sand, coins, miniature buildings, product samples and branded cartons are all castable. The object is positioned by hand between pours, which is a step an agent who does not own the plant cannot control.

Who manufactures your deal toys?

Crystal Century is the export division of Premier Trophy Limited, Hong Kong, trading since 2008. We own our factory in Nanjing, where the casting, cutting and engraving happen, and our Hong Kong team handles design, sampling, final finishing and inspection before anything ships.

Vertically integrated

Every step is ours

Most suppliers in this trade are agents. They take the brief, mark it up and send it to a factory they do not control, and when the date slips there is nothing they can do about it. We own the whole chain, so the answer on a deadline is ours to give.
